ARTICLE 2 : GENERAL PROVISIONS

2.1* PURPOSE OF THE AGREEMENT

2.1.1 The general purpose of this Agreement is to establish an orderly collective bargaining relationship between the Employer and the Association to ensure the prompt and peaceful resolution of disputes and grievances, and to set forth an agreement covering rates of pay and other working conditions.

2.1.2 The Parties recognize that it is in their common interest to promote and enhance the working relations between the Employer, the Association, and its Members, consistent with the principles of mutual respect and cooperation. It is the intent of the Parties to create a workplace environment that fosters dignity and respect for all Employees.

2.1.3 The APTPUO agrees to collaborate with the Employer in promoting and supporting the bilingual nature of the University.
