Annual leave
Your annual leave entitlement is determined by your years of continuous service with the University and is based on a 36 -hour work week. You do not accumulate annual leave while receiving Long Term Disability payments or when payment of your salary has been interrupted for any reason. The length of your leave is proportionally adjusted to various schedules.
Annual leave entitlement is calculated each pay period and any increase due to seniority is adjusted as of your anniversary of employment date.
You accumulate the following annual leave:

You may use your annual leave as it accumulates monthly.
If you have completed your probationary period, you may accumulate the equivalent of one year of annual leave plus a maximum of 10 additional days of annual leave at any one time.
If you have completed your probationary period, you may borrow up to 10 days of annual leave that you have not yet accumulated.
Each calendar year you must take at least one two-week period or two one-week periods of annual leave, unless a shorter period is approved by your supervisor.
If you become ill while on annual leave, you are entitled to sick leave, provided you advise the University on the first day of your illness and when you return to work, you provide a medical certificate covering the entire period of your sick leave.

You must enter your leave in the Workday leave management system prior to your leave or if this is not possible, immediately upon your return to work.
