Article 50 : job descriptions

50.1 The University and the Bargaining Unit acknowledge that the assignment of work and job duties to the employees is a management right. Every employee shall have an evaluated job description and it:

  • Shall reflect the typical responsibilities and requirements of the job;
  • Shall be made available to the employee;
  • Shall be reviewed regularly by the manager in consultation with the employee, and at least every three (3) years;

50.2 Where there are significant changes to a job description signed by the employee, the employee’s supervisor, the Dean or the Director or their delegate, the submission of this job description to the job evaluation committee will not be unreasonably withheld or delayed by a Faculty or Service.
