Bereavement leave

You are entitled to up to three days of paid leave in the event of the death of your mother, father, child, sister, brother, spouse, mother-in-law or father-in-law.

However, your bereavement leave entitlement is also subject to the following provision: you are eligible to receive a total of three days of paid leave each year, prorated to the length of your contract, for all of the following leaves combined: bereavement leave, leave for family obligations, special leave for the birth of a child, leave for moving and leave for your wedding. For example, if you use two days for bereavement leave, you will have one remaining day of leave to use towards any of the other leaves listed above for the rest of the year.
