Article 6 : probationary period

6.1 Newly hired employees shall be on a probationary basis for a period of four (4) calendar months from the first date of hire. The probationary period may be extended for a period of one (1) month, as required. The University will notify the Union in writing of such extensions.

6.2 The employee may be terminated at any time during the probationary period and does not have recourse to the grievance procedure regarding this termination.
